About
Hey. Hi. Hello!
I'm Lucy! Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I'm currently based in the Bay Area of California working on Amazon’s Smart Glasses, Echo Frames. I have a Master's in Information, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), from the University of Michigan. Before that, I completed my undergraduate degree in Economics at Pomona College.
What drew me to the field of HCI was my fascination with the human side of technology. During my time at Pomona, I picked up a Psychology minor because I loved exploring why people do what they do. I'm less interested in studying the perfectly rational decisions we expect people to make in Economics and more interested in understanding the complex emotions that drive our behavior. I believe that empathy is essential for successful user research, which is why I find it so fulfilling.
My ultimate career goal is to make games and other products and services more accessible to a diverse range of audiences. If you're interested in collaborating or simply want to chat, feel free to reach out!
